– Actress Temitope Solaja sheds light on educational background and how she got into the movie industry
– The movie that got her on track as an upcoming star to look out for
– Her thoughts about marriage
Fast-rising actress Temitope Solaja is one to look out for in the thriving movie industry in Nigeria.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, she said her parents kicked against her acting in the early stages of her career given they wanted her to focus on her education.
But she went on to bag a degree in Mass Communication, another reason why her parents probably let her be and pursue her dreams in acting.
She started acting in 2007 and has since then earned appearances in Adajo Aiye, Yeye Oge, Orente, Overdose and Bella to name a few.
But she credits the movie Opolo as the one which brought her into limelight.
She recalled that she appeared in the movie at a younger age but has since stepped up her craft and featured in Tayo Sobola’s movie, Bella.
Speaking on her self-produced movies, she said she got funding through God’s intervention.
She said: “Well, I was able to produce the movies by the special grace of God though it wasn’t easy at all. However, I give all the glory to God for making it possible.”
The actress is also called Aruga, a name she earned from one of her two self-produced two movies, Aruga and Orente, in 2015.
On plans for marriage, she said everything is in God’s hands. She plans to settle down with her ideal man anytime God provides him for her
