Talented Nollywood actor and singer, Gabriel Afolayan is a year older today, March 1, 2016.
Gabriel who became a popular face in Nollywood after appearing in Tade Ogidan’s ‘Madam Dearest’ is the son of late legendary filmmaker, Adeyemi Afolayan popularly known as Ade Love.
He is also the younger brother of respected actor cum filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan while his other siblings, Moji Afolayan and Aremu Afolayan are well known faces in the industry. Veteran actress, Toyin Afolayan better known as Lola Idije, who is also a member of the family, is Gabriel’s aunt.
G-Fresh as he is also known studied Theatre Arts at the University of Ibadan before making his professional sojourn into the entertainment industry.
Apart from Madam Dearest, he has also acted in top movies including ‘Ojuju’, ‘Hoodrush’ and ‘Heroes and Zeros’. He won an AMAA for Best Supporting Actor for his impressive delivery in Hoodrush where he acted alongside OC Ukeje and Bimbo Akintola.
He stunned many when he showed off his singing side with the release of his debut single, ‘Kokoro Ife’ which garnered him general acclaim. He further announced his seriousness in the music industry when he dropped his follow up single, ‘Awelewa’ among other tracks.
