Ibadan celebrates transition of Olubadan

The late Olubadan of Ibadan was buried today after a week long burial ceremony

– The monarch was the fourth longest serving Olubadan
– Eminent Nigerians were present at the burial ceremony
Ibadan people paid their last respect to their late monarch, Oba Samuel Odulana, the Olubadan of Ibadan, today, Friday, February 12.

The burial ceremony which took place at St Peter’s cathedral in the Remo area of Ibadan, Oyo state was attended by dignitaries and eminent Nigerians. They include Professor Yemi Osinbajo, the vice president who was representing President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos, Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo state,

There was singing, drumming and dancing as Ibadan people gave their late monarch a befitting burial. The body of Oba Odulana was taken to Igbo elerin where he was buried.
